Mapping our Systems Change Champions
There are multiple aspects of systems changemaking in Aotearoa. Often it helps to map out "who is doing what and where?". We've divided our maps into four broad themes:
Doing the mahi embodies the commitment and persistence required to drive systems change. The organisations on this map are currently engaged "on the ground" in various key areas for societal change.
Note: We have located organisations with a national reach between the North and South Islands.
Connecting the mahi refers to the act of linking various efforts, resources, and stakeholders to create a cohesive and unified approach to systems change. These networks and collectives recognise that individual actions and initiatives, while important, are most impactful when they are co-ordinated.
Supporting the mahi refers to the vital role of providing resources to, and building capacity of those engaged in the work of systems change. Those supporting the mahi could be funders, researchers, evaluators, facilitators or consultants.
